The Tape Horse

Brooke can really make anything. I truly believe that.  Anything.  I think if I asked her to make a rocket ship she would get dutifully to work and emerge with a lovely rocket in a few hours. She does things that I don’t expect or would even think of myself. She just thinks differently. Outside the box. Extremely creative.

The photo shown here was from about 5 years ago she. She was 10 years old. She has always loved horses and would draw and paint them endlessly. Friends at school would constantly ask her to draw horses for them.  Here, she had gotten some craft tape and had created a horse on her closet door. I could not even come up with this idea!  I loved it and we kept it up until we moved from this house. Even then I was sad to take it down. She had worked so hard on it. I am so thankful that I took a picture of it so I can look back I it now.

Brooke has always had that artistic brain and has never seen any limits. From a young age she began to draw, but she also began to write. Before she could actually write words, she was making books out of paper and stapling them together or tying them together with strings. She made picture books at first and later after she learned to write, she wrote books with words. Of course they were small, and eventually increased in length as she aged. These books are such treasures to me!!

Brooke is my favorite today for constantly surprising me with thoughts and ideas that I would never come up with myself : )

  1. That is honestly one creative way to draw a horse on a door.. I would never in a million years ever think of that 😱
I’m really rooting for Brooke to win the ultimate tally test of all time 😁 if there ever is going to be an end result of the daily tallies.. she’s almost consistent.
