Baby Jesus and the Fork

Kate is enamored with Nativity Scenes this Christmas.  And what 2 year old wouldn’t be?  Its the only time adults sit out small toy figurines in places that can be easily accessed.  Oh, the temptation to play with them!  Most, of course are extremely fragile and probably shouldn’t be played with by a 2 year old.  However, we don’t follow those rules.  I feel like people don’t need to sit out things in their houses that can’t be touched.  If you do, they need to be well beyond the reaches of children.  Otherwise, its just cruel!!  Its like saying, “Here’s this super cute/fun toy, but you can’t play with it.  In fact you can’t even touch it.”  Cruel, I’m telling you!

So Kate plays with our 3 Nativity Scenes at home and 1 at her grandparent’s house.  All of us in the family have evidently stressed that the figurines are fragile because she has really taken hold of this word.  The video shows her carrying around Baby Jesus on a fork……..  Yes.  A fork.

“I don’t know,” is the answer to your next question.  We have no idea why she likes to carry Baby Jesus on a fork, but she balances Jesus on the fork and carries him around all day at her Grandmother’s house.  Original.  I’ll have to give her that!

In the video, she is explaining to one of her sisters that Baby Jesus is “very, very fragile.”  Who knew she was really listening to us?  I guess we probably said it a few hundred times!!

So today, Kate is my favorite for her originality : ) This brings one of the family to double digits!  Whoop, whoop!  Way to go Tate!

Daily tally:
